Stumbled upon a bunch of these old TIME magazine photos and thought these were some of the best.
Cool cloud formation the other night. The sun is an able assistant. And my wife, who alerted me to the sky — she’s a great location scout. June 2011.
8 miles plus a mile of 100m strides this morning. Overall time was 57:03. This was just a nice easy run day between workouts to shake up the legs and add some mileage. Afterwords we lifted as a team, but I had to finish up my core and pushups when I got home.
I attempted to make a protein shake, but it tasted effing nasty. Followed it up with a coffee and some Greek yogurt. Yum
I’m thinking I may go for a little swim later, but I’m not quite sure yet.
This morning’s workout was a steady state. A steady state is a run with a pace 45 seconds slower than your 5k pace. The top guys (Joe, Dan, Hoffy, and I) did this for 6 miles and finished together with a time of 34:35. This was a good run.
Mile splits: 5:53 5:42 (11:36) 5:41 (17:18) 5:49 (23:07) 5:46 (28:53) 5:41 (34:35)
Millisecond differences may make these seem a couple seconds off.
Doing a 4 or 5 mile double later for a total of 12 or 13 miles today.
